Elzarie brings over 15 years of experience in wig making and styling. She has travelled the world as Head of Wigs on major international musicals such as The Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, We Will Rock You, and many more. Her passion for her craft shines through every piece she creates. With her calm, knowledgeable guidance, she will support you throughout your hair journey and make sure you leave A Few Grey Hairs feeling and looking like the beautiful woman you are.

Delia built her career in wigs and hair replacements on a foundation of 35 years in hairdressing, following in the footsteps of a long family line of wig makers and hairdressers stretching back more than four generations. Her wig-making heritage begins with her great-great-grandfather, Wilhelm Theodorus Pardenkooper, who married her great-grandmother Jessie in Amsterdam. Jessie later fell pregnant with Delia’s grandmother, Freda Dashwood, who also joined the hair industry. Freda moved the family business to the United Kingdom, and after the war, she settled in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Freda passed her knowledge on to her son, Michael John Dashwood, who later taught Delia. Delia was truly born into the wig world—one she grew with love and eventually expanded through the Hairs With Love Campaign.
